RCIA -- Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

R.C.I.A., the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the process where we explore and learn about Jesus Christ as well as the Catholic Church’s teachings about him.  We meet weekly, from late September through Easter.  Classes are relaxed and informative.

Give us a call if you are interested, or if you have questions.  “Come and see!”

  • Perhaps there is something missing in your life? Do you have questions about this wonderfully mysterious person, Jesus Christ? Would you like to know and experience God’s love for you personally? Would you like to hear more about the age-old teachings of the Catholic Church? If so, give us a call! We may have what you are seeking. We are part of a 2,000 year old tradition and can help you find some answers. Know that as we seek Him, He has already sought and found us, and wishes to share the fullness of His divine life with us.

Like a lingering whisper in the silence of the night, the Lord comes to us.  He has created us for Himself and sometimes our hearts feel restless, sensing that there is something more to life than we know.  God often comes noiselessly, not like a strong wind or in the earthquake or in the fire, but as a still small voice (1 Kings 19:11).  St. Augustine, an early Church writer and convert (+431), wrote of this inner disquiet: “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.” His invitation is that we seek Him and open ourselves to Him.  And as we respond, He will draw us into a never-ending journey of delight, happiness, and peace.  And His love will know no end.

“Speak now to God and say with your whole heart: I seek your face; your face, Lord, I desire.”

-- from the Proslogian by St. Anselm (1078)
